Youth As Resources
Student Leadership
CHARACTER COUNTS!
Akron is premiering
Youth As Resources Student Leadership
project, a new initiative that partners kindergarten through 12th
grade students with businesses, organizations, and individuals to
promote character through positive change. Students with an idea of how
they would like to use Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility,
Fairness, Caring, or Citizenship to better their communities can contact
the Character Counts! Akron office at 330-761-3067 or
indabg@neo.rr.com.
Students will be guided
through a working plan for their project before being matched with a
peer mentor and partner business to help make their idea a reality.
Ideas for projects might have an impact on neighborhoods, schools,
government, hunger, homelessness, reading, or other topics of concern to
children.
